FAQs

Using Ecigs

Do I need a lighter for my Ecig?

No, an Ecig is an electronic device. Do not try to light any E-Cigarette as it contains a lithium battery, which could explode if ignited.

How do I turn on the Electronic Cigarette?

With all our e-cigs, except the Zeus and the ROKStar, you simply inhale on the device and it switches on. When you are done, put it back in your pocket or carrying case. Remember there is no flame to extinguish!

How long will the battery last before needing to recharge?

My experience is that the ROK and Liberro batteries last between two and four hours before needing a re-charge.  The JAC will keep most going for 1 - 2 days.  The Mirage is good for at least that long, and I have vaped on one for 4 days, no problem.

Can I use my Ecig anywhere?

The  E-Cigarette can be used legally almost anywhere and everywhere, even where traditional smoking is prohibited. The E-Cigarette is not lit and smoke is not produced. The smoke that you see is strictly a vapour or mist. Because the cigarette is not ignited and hence is not actually smoked, vaping an E-cigarette should not be prohibited under most laws that ban smoking in certain areas for public health purposes. If you are on private property please respect the individual outlet’s policy.  Click here to read the relevant law:

Are Electronic Cigarettes safe?

Our E-Cigarettes contain only water, Propylene Glycol, nicotine, and a scent that imitates tobacco or the indicated flavour.

Can anyone use the  Electronic Cigarette?

No, the E-Cigarette is intended for use  by adult smokers only and is not intended to be used by pregnant women, women who are breastfeeding, smokers who have inherent medical conditions such as (but not limited to) diabetes, heart conditions or depression and those who are sensitive to nicotine. If you are in any doubt or are using prescribed medications please consult your GP before using this or any similar product.

Why do people use  Electronic Cigarettes?

Smokers smoke because they enjoy the physical and emotional feelings they get when smoking traditional cigarettes. The  E-Cigarette will provide you with a similar experience but without the tar, 4,000 other chemicals and second-hand smoke that is related to traditional smoking. The main reasons people use a tobacco-free smoking option include the freedom to smoke almost anywhere and everywhere, no first- or second-hand smoke or odour, convenience, and the fact that this is cheaper than traditional cigarettes.

Where can I buy the  Electronic Cigarette?

The products we review are available through the manufacturers' websites. Don't forget to use your discount code!  You must be of legal smoking age (at least 18) to purchase the E-Cigarette.

Is the Electronic Cigarette cheaper than traditional cigarettes?

No doubt about it.  Even taking into account the intitial purchase of the starter kit, I have saved over £700 in seven months - that's over £100 per month!!   See also my savings calculator.

What is the smoke that is released from the Electronic Cigarette?

The 'smoke' that is released from the Electronic Cigarette is simply a vapour that evaporates into the air within seconds and leaves no residue in the air. It will not harm anyone around you, unlike the second-hand smoke of traditional cigarettes.

Does the Electronic Cigarette have a smell?

No, the smoke has very little odour; however you may have a light essence from the flavours of the nicotine cartomisers.  Many people, including non-smokers like the odour.

Does the Electronic Cigarette have a taste?

The taste of  cartomisers resembles the taste of traditional tobacco, but users tend to find it smoother and cleaner as it lacks many other components of tobacco-based cigarettes. The flavoured cartomisers are designed to resemble the taste of the flavouring indicated.  My favourite is vanilla flavour and this seems to be widely popular.
